Travel Plan:
Arrive at Paro International Airport, where Bhutan’s fresh mountain air and charming architecture greet you. Begin your journey with a scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, stopping at the beautiful Tamchog Lhakhang iron bridge. In Thimphu, explore the city’s modern-meets-traditional charm and visit the giant Buddha Dordenma statue overlooking the valley.
Spend the day discovering Thimphu’s cultural landmarks including the Memorial Chorten, the National Library, and the Takin Preserve. Dive into Bhutanese heritage at the Folk Heritage Museum and Royal Textile Academy. Later, enjoy some local shopping at the weekend market or Handicrafts Emporium.
